a reality with the latest advances in Bodymaker technology from
CarnaudMetalbox Engineering.
B3 and B4 Bodymaker customers can now take full
advantage of our latest Bodymaker technology by fitting our angled
tool pack cradle with hydraulic lid clamping.
Die changes and wreck clearing are made easier
by improved access due to the elimination of lid clamp handles and
flexible hoses, and the 35 degree tool cradle angle with a lower
front allows tooling to be slid up and out rather than having to
be lifted vertically, reducing wear and damage to the tooling.
The tool pack lid is hydraulically clamped
by the coolant, with 100lbs of pressure for every 20lbs of coolant
pressure being applied evenly along the length of the tooling.
